Alabama High School Basketball - Headland can't hold off Houston Academy
January 26, 2023: Headland, AL 36345 The Houston Academy Raiders basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Headland Rams to 47 in the Raiders non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Raiders now sport a 25-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Long for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 31. Houston Academy will battle a Rebels team coming off a 59-57 league loss to Abbeville (Abbeville, AL). The Rebels record now stands at 5-16.
The Rams (11-9) will now prepare for their contest against Pike County (Brundidge, AL). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Pike County nudged Cottonwood (Cottonwood, AL), 66-53, in a non-league contest.
