Wisconsin High School Basketball - Port Edwards tops Wild Rose
January 26, 2023: Port Edwards, WI 54469 Port Edwards Blackhawks (Port Edwards, WI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Wild Rose Wildcats (Wild Rose, WI), 67-54 in a league bout.
With the victory, Port Edwards upgrades its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Blackhawks travel to Assumption (Wisconsin Rapids, WI) to play the Royals in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 29. The Royals come into the bout with a record of 4-10. Assumption lost 56-44 in their recent league bout against Newman (Wausau, WI)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Rosholt Hornets (Rosholt, WI) in a Central Wisconsin - South bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Wild Rose will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 75-28 league loss to Almond-Bancroft (Almond, WI).
