In Thursday's non-league outing, the Horizon Huskies (Scottsdale, AZ) basketball squad felled the visiting Buckeye Hawks (Buckeye, AZ), by a margin of 43-35.

The Huskies (15-8) will now prepare for their outing against Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ). The Falcons go into the 5A Northeast Valley outing with a 12-11 record. In their last outing, Cactus Shadows was beaten by Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ), 61-57, in a league outing.

The Hawks now own a 17-7 record. They play next when they travel to Youngker for a 5A Central Valley outing on Saturday, January 28. Buckeye will clash with a Roughriders squad coming off a 40-39 league win over Copper Canyon (Glendale, AZ). The Roughriders record now stands at 13-9.
