Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA) and the visiting Central Private Redhawks (Baker, LA), saw Catholic of Pointe Coupee's basketball squad hold off Central Private by a count of 62-55.

With the victory, Catholic of Pointe Coupee upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Hornets host Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA) to play the Trojans in a 1A District 6 challenge on Friday, January 27. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 11-6.
