January 26, 2023: Greene, IA 50636 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Charles City Comets (Charles City, IA) and the host North Butler Bearcats (Greene, IA), saw Charles City's basketball squad overcome North Butler by a tally of 46-30.
With the victory, Charles City improves its record to 1-14 on the campaign. The Comets host Crestwood (Cresco, IA) to play the Cadets in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 27. The Cadets come into the challenge with a record of 6-11. Crestwood lost 43-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Columbus (Waterloo, IA)
Next up, the Bearcats play the West Fork Warhawks (Sheffield, IA) in a Corn Bowl challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. North Butler will attempt to improve on its 4-14 season record. The Warhawks come into the challenge with a 16-0 record after their 50-31 league win over St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA).
