January 26, 2023: Point Hope, AK 99766 The Tikigaq Harpooners basketball team scored 87 points and restricted the visiting Effie Kokrine Charter Warriors to 2 in the Harpooners non-league victory on Thursday.
The Harpooners now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hooper Bay for a non-league contest on Friday, January 27. Tikigaq will battle a Warriors team coming off a 29-22 non-league loss to Glennallen (Glennallen, AK). The Warriors record now stands at 9-4.
The Warriors (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against Nenana (Nenana, AK). The Lynx come into the 2A Interior contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Nenana triumphed over Tok (Tok, AK), 45-31, in a league contest.
