January 26, 2023: Monroe, MI 48162 The Jefferson Bears got by the visiting Wayne Memorial Zebras ice hockey squad by a count of 3-2 in Thursday's non-league bout.
With the victory, Jefferson moves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Glenn (Westland, MI) to face the Rockets in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 14-9. Glenn lost 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Romulus (Romulus, MI)
The Zebras now sport a 7-19 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dearborn for a Kensington Lakes - South bout on Friday, January 27. Wayne Memorial will face a Pioneers squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Canton (Canton, MI). The Pioneers record now stands at 24-3.
