Missouri High School Basketball - Capital City tops Monroe City
January 26, 2024: Monroe City, MO 63456 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Capital City Cavaliers (Jefferson City, MO) and the host Monroe City Panthers (Monroe City, MO), saw Capital City's basketball squad knock off Monroe City by a count of 64-44.
With the victory, Capital City upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Hallsville (Hallsville, MO) to play the Indians in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 2. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 14-3. Hallsville won 81-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Eldon (Eldon, MO)
Next up, the Panthers play the South Shelby Cardinals (Shelbina, MO) in a Clarence Cannon challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Monroe City will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 57-36 non-league win over Milan (Milan, MO).
