Missouri High School Basketball - Liberty can't hold off De Smet Jesuit
January 26, 2024: St. Louis, MO 63141 The De Smet Jesuit Spartans basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Liberty Eagles to 50 in the Spartans non-league victory on Friday.
The Spartans now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Moline for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. De Smet Jesuit will battle a Maroons team coming off a 49-47 league loss to Rock Island (Rock Island, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 19-3.
The Eagles (10-2) will now prepare for their contest against Fort Zumwalt North (O'Fallon, MO). The Panthers come into the Gateway - Central contest with a 10-10 record. In their last contest, Fort Zumwalt North was nudged by Priory (St. Louis, MO), 60-51, in a non-league contest.
