January 26, 2024: Lafayette, LA 70507 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Lafayette Christian Academy Knights (Lafayette, LA) and the visiting North Vermilion Patriots (Maurice, LA), saw Lafayette Christian Academy's basketball squad hold off North Vermilion by a tally of 47-45.
With the victory, Lafayette Christian Academy improves its record to 20-4 on the campaign. The Knights host New Iberia (New Iberia, LA) to confront the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 20-4. New Iberia won 49-33 in their recent league challenge against Barbe (Lake Charles, LA)
Next up, the Patriots confront the St. Thomas More Cougars (Lafayette, LA) in a 4A District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. North Vermilion will attempt to improve on its 11-7 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 21-5 record after their 61-46 league win over Teurlings Catholic (Lafayette, LA).
