Illinois High School Basketball - Urbana overwhelms Lanphier
January 26, 2024: Springfield, IL 62702 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Urbana Tigers (Urbana, IL) and the host Lanphier Lions (Springfield, IL), saw Urbana's basketball squad wallop Lanphier by a tally of 69-48.
With the victory, Urbana improves its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Tigers host Limestone (Bartonville, IL) to confront the Rockets in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 5-15. Limestone lost 34-31 in their recent league challenge against Washington (Washington, IL)
Next up, the Lions confront the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones (Springfield, IL) in a Central State Eight challenge, on Saturday, January 27. Lanphier will attempt to improve on its 13-11 season record. The Cyclones come into the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 64-61 league loss to Lanphier (Springfield, IL).
