Minnesota High School Basketball - Zimmerman overwhelms Pine City
January 26, 2024: Pine City, MN 55063 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Zimmerman Thunder (Zimmerman, MN) and the host Pine City Dragons (Pine City, MN), saw Zimmerman's basketball squad wallop Pine City by a tally of 81-51.
With the victory, Zimmerman improves its record to 6-13 on the campaign. The Thunder host St. Francis (St. Francis, MN) to confront the Fighting Saints in a AAA Section 5 challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Fighting Saints come into the challenge with a record of 7-9.
Next up, the Dragons confront the Lakes International Language Academy (Forest Lake, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. Pine City will attempt to improve on its 2-17 season record. The come into the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 83-72 non-league win over United Christian Academy (Bloomington, MN).
