Kansas High School Basketball - Turner can't hold off Tonganoxie
January 26, 2024: Kansas City, KS 66106 The Tonganoxie Chieftains basketball team scored 43 points and restricted the host Turner Golden Bears to 40 in the Chieftains non-league victory on Friday.
The Chieftains now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Blue Valley Southwest for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. Tonganoxie will battle a Timberwolves team coming off a 89-59 non-league win over Shawnee Mission West (Shawnee Mission, KS). The Timberwolves record now stands at 10-4.
The Golden Bears (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against De Soto (De Soto, KS). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 11-2 record. In their last contest, De Soto was nudged by Piper (Kansas City, KS), 74-64, in a non-league contest.
