Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Webster County Highlanders (Upper Glade, WV) and the visiting Trinity Christian Warriors (Morgantown, WV), saw Webster County's basketball squad hold off Trinity Christian by a count of 61-59.

With the victory, Webster County upgrades its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Gilmer County (Glenville, WV) to play the Titans in a Little Kanawha - East challenge on Monday, January 29. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 2-11. Gilmer County won 58-39 in their recent league challenge against South Harrison (Lost Creek, WV)

Next up, the Warriors play the Paden City Wildcats (Paden City, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Trinity Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record.
