Mississippi High School Basketball - Blue Mountain crushes Coffeeville
January 26, 2024: Coffeeville, MS 38922 Blue Mountain Cougars (Blue Mountain, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Coffeeville Pirates (Coffeeville, MS), 50-11 in a league bout.
With the win, Blue Mountain upgrades its record to 20-1 on the season. The Cougars host Strayhorn (Sarah, MS) to play the Mustangs in a 1A Region 3 bout on Thursday, February 1. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 1-12. Strayhorn lost 53-11 in their recent non-league bout against Ashland (Ashland, MS)
Next up, the Pirates play the Grenada Chargers (Grenada, MS) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Coffeeville will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 56-31 league win over Saltillo (Saltillo, MS).
