Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the United Lions (Armagh, PA) and the host Ligonier Valley Rams (Ligonier, PA), saw United's basketball squad wallop Ligonier Valley by a tally of 74-27.

With the victory, United improves its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Lions host Purchase Line (Commodore, PA) to confront the Red Dragons in a Heritage challenge on Monday, January 29. The Red Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 5-12. Purchase Line lost 64-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Blacklick Valley (Nanty Glo, PA)

Next up, the Rams confront the Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 3 challenge, on Monday, January 29. Ligonier Valley will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 5-9 record after their 75-30 league loss to Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA).
