January 26, 2024: Weatherford, OK 73096 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Weatherford Eagles (Weatherford, OK) and the visiting Newcastle Racers (Newcastle, OK), saw Weatherford's basketball squad overcome Newcastle by a tally of 66-51.
With the victory, Weatherford improves its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Kingfisher (Kingfisher, OK) to confront the Yellowjackets in a Western challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 14-4. Kingfisher won 62-31 in their recent league challenge against Chickasha (Chickasha, OK)
Next up, the Racers confront the Bethany Bronchos (Bethany, OK) in a Western challenge, on Monday, January 29. Newcastle will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Bronchos come into the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 87-50 league win over Elk City (Elk City, OK).
