Kentucky High School Basketball - Walton-Verona overwhelmed by Nicholas County
January 26, 2024: Carlisle, KY 40311 The Nicholas County Bluejackets basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the visiting Walton-Verona Bearcats to 38 in the Bluejackets non-league victory on Friday.
The Bluejackets now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Robertson County for a District 38 contest on Friday, January 26. Nicholas County will battle a Black Devils team coming off a 58-54 league win over Harrison County (Cynthiana, KY). The Black Devils record now stands at 8-10.
The Bearcats (11-10) will now prepare for their contest against Notre Dame Academy (Park Hills, KY). The Pandas come into the non-league contest with a 14-4 record. In their last contest, Notre Dame Academy was routed by Holy Cross (Covington, KY), 39-30, in a league contest.
