Colorado High School Basketball - Platte Valley overwhelms Wellington
January 26, 2024: Kersey, CO 80644 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Platte Valley Broncos (Kersey, CO) and the visiting Wellington Eagles (Wellington, CO), saw Platte Valley's basketball squad wallop Wellington by a tally of 63-35.
With the victory, Platte Valley improves its record to 2-12 on the campaign. The Broncos travel to Lutheran (Parker, CO) to confront the Lions in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 9-8. Lutheran lost 76-41 in their recent league challenge against Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Frontier Academy Wolverines (Greeley, CO) in a 3A Patriot challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Wellington will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 57-17 league loss to Highland (Ault, CO).
