New York High School Basketball - South Bronx Prep sneaks past Albany
January 26, 2025: Bronx, NY 10454 The South Bronx Prep Cougars (Bronx, NY) basketball edged the visiting Albany Falcons (Albany, NY), 50-49 in Sunday's non-league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 11-1 record. They play next when they host South Bronx for a PSAL 2A Bronx I bout on Friday, January 31. South Bronx Prep will play a Phoenix team coming off a 71-52 non-league win over Morrisania (Bronx, NY). The Phoenix record now stands at 9-2.
With the loss, Albany falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (Burnt Hills, NY) to play the Spartans in a Section 2 Suburban - Gray bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 2-11. Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake lost 66-58 in their recent non-league bout against Mohonasen (Schenectady, NY)
