January 26, 2025: Hillside, NJ 07205 The Hillside Comets (Hillside, NJ) basketball were winner over the visiting North Star Academy (Newark, NJ), 71-63 in Sunday's non-league bout.
The Comets now possess a 9-7 record. They play next when they host Scotch Plains-Fanwood for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 28. Hillside will play a Raiders team coming off a 51-38 non-league win over East Side (Newark, NJ). The Raiders record now stands at 12-4.
With the loss, North Star Academy falls to 4-11 on the campaign. The host Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NJ) to play the Bengals in a Super Essex - Colonial bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Bengals go into the bout with a record of 9-8. Bloomfield won 66-47 in their recent non-league bout against Clifton (Clifton, NJ)
