Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Piedmont Academy Cougars (Monticello, GA) and the visiting Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA), saw Piedmont Academy's basketball squad overcome Academy for Classical Education by a tally of 65-47.

With the victory, Piedmont Academy improves its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Ola (McDonough, GA) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 31. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 9-13. Ola lost 68-55 in their recent league challenge against Union Grove (McDonough, GA)

Next up, the Gryphons confront the Hancock Central Bulldogs (Sparta, GA) in a A Public Region 7 challenge, on Tuesday, February 1. Academy for Classical Education will attempt to improve on its 5-14 season record.
