Alabama High School Basketball - Alexandria tops Anniston
January 27, 2022: Anniston, AL 26207 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Alexandria Valley Cubs (Alexandria, AL) and the host Anniston Bulldogs (Anniston, AL), saw Alexandria's basketball squad knock off Anniston by a tally of 65-46.
With the victory, Alexandria improves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Valley Cubs host Talladega (Talladega, AL) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 31. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 10-11. Talladega lost 49-48 in their recent league challenge against Central of Clay County (Lineville, AL)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Fort Payne Wildcats (Fort Payne, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 28. Anniston will attempt to improve on its 12-12 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 13-11 record after their 71-65 non-league win over Cherokee County (Centre, AL).
