The Linsly Cadets basketball team (Wheeling, WV), was nudged 64-60 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host University Hawks (Morgantown, WV)

The Hawks now possess a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Spring Mills for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 29. University will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 70-30 league win over Washington (Charles Town, WV). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-2.
