Kansas High School Basketball - Halstead overwhelmed by Cheney
January 27, 2022: Cheney, KS 67025 The Cheney Cardinals basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Halstead Dragons to 27 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Thursday.
The Cardinals now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nickerson for a non-league contest on Friday, January 28. Cheney will battle a Panthers team coming off a 64-28 non-league win over Rose Hill (Rose Hill, KS). The Panthers record now stands at 11-0.
The Dragons (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Rose Hill (Rose Hill, KS). The Rockets come into the non-league contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Rose Hill was routed by Nickerson (Nickerson, KS), 64-28, in a non-league contest.
