January 27, 2023: Hays, KS 67601 In Friday's non-league outing, the Thomas More Prep-Marian Monarchs (Hays, KS) basketball squad nipped the visiting Abilene Cowboys (Abilene, KS), by a margin of 51-49.
The Monarchs (9-2) will now prepare for their outing against Oakley (Oakley, KS). The Plainsmen go into the Mid-Continent outing with a 7-8 record. In their last outing, Oakley was tipped by Hill City (Hill City, KS), 56-45, in a non-league outing.
The Cowboys now own a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Marysville for a non-league outing on Friday, February 3.
