Texas High School Basketball - Trinity Christian Academy fells Athens Christian Preparatory Academy

Trinity Christian Academy (Paris, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Athens Christian Preparatory Academy Storm (Athens, TX), 62-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Trinity Christian Academy upgrades its record to 12-6 on the season. The travel to Harvest Christian Academy (Bartonville, TX) to play the Saints in a TCAF District 3 bout on Monday, January 30. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 11-2. Harvest Christian Academy won 82-36 in their recent non-league bout against Heritage Christian Academy (Haslet, TX)

Next up, the Storm play the St. Mary's (Longview, TX) in a TAPPS 1A District 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Athens Christian Preparatory Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record. The go into the bout with a 20-10 record after their 60-39 league loss to Christian Heritage (Longview, TX).
