January 27, 2023: Upper Marlboro, MD Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South (Upper Marlboro, MD) and the visiting Southern Maryland Christian Academy Mustangs (White Plains, MD), saw Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South's basketball squad overcome Southern Maryland Christian Academy by a tally of 70-58.
With the victory, Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The host Bladensburg (Bladensburg, MD) to play the Mustangs in a Prince George's County 4A challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 9-6. Bladensburg lost 55-51 in their recent league challenge against Bowie (Bowie, MD)
Next up, the Mustangs play the King's Christian Academy (Callaway, MD) in a Maryland Independent challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Southern Maryland Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record.
