Mason Punchers (Mason, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting San Saba Armadillos (San Saba, TX), 61-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Mason upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Punchers host Harper (Harper, TX) to clash with the Longhorns in a 2A Region IV District 29 bout on Friday, February 3. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 2-16.

Next up, the Armadillos clash with the Junction Eagles (Junction, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 29 bout, on Wednesday, February 1. San Saba will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 3-13 record after their 55-47 league loss to Johnson City (Johnson City, TX).
