The Nokomis Redskins topped the visiting Meridian Hawks basketball team by a final score of 55-41 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Redskins face the South County Vipers (Franklin, IL) in a MSM game, on Saturday, January 28. Nokomis will attempt to move on its 21-5 season record. The Vipers enter the game with a 14-11 record after their 58-17 non-league win over Barry Western (Barry, IL).

With the defeat, Meridian moves to 2-19 on the year. The Hawks travel to St. Teresa (Decatur, IL) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Saturday, January 28. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 17-5. St. Teresa won 66-49 in their recent league game against Central A & M (Moweaqua, IL)
