January 27, 2023: Jackson, MS 39211 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs (Jackson, MS) and the visiting South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind Hornets (Spartanburg, SC), saw Mississippi School for the Deaf's basketball squad wallop South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind by a tally of 45-15.
With the victory, Mississippi School for the Deaf improves its record to 4-16 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Louisiana School for the Deaf (Baton Rouge, LA) to confront the War Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 28. The War Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 6-12. Louisiana School for the Deaf won 27-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Kentucky School for the Deaf (Danville, KY)
Next up, the Hornets confront the Dixie Hornets (Due West, SC) in a A Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 11-9 record after their 74-60 league win over Ware Shoals (Ware Shoals, SC).
