Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) and the visiting Cedar Shoals Jaguars (Athens, GA), saw Cherokee Bluff's basketball squad overcome Cedar Shoals by a tally of 65-52.

With the victory, Cherokee Bluff improves its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Bears travel to North Hall (Gainesville, GA) to confront the Trojans in a AAAA Region 8A challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 16-5. North Hall won 62-19 in their recent league challenge against Johnson (Gainesville, GA)
