January 27, 2023: Flint, MI 48505 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Powers Catholic Chargers (Flint, MI) and the visiting Genesee Christian Soldiers (Burton, MI), saw Powers Catholic's basketball squad hold off Genesee Christian by a tally of 54-48.
With the victory, Powers Catholic improves its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Chargers host Davison (Davison, MI) to play the Cardinals in a Saginaw Valley challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 4-9. Davison lost 52-29 in their recent league challenge against Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, MI)
Next up, the Soldiers play the Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles (Canton, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 28. Genesee Christian will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 56-38 league win over Southfield Christian (Southfield, MI).
