New York High School Basketball - Mechanicville overwhelms Hoosic Valley
January 27, 2023: Schaghticoke, NY 12154 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Mechanicville Red Raiders (Mechanicville, NY) and the host Hoosic Valley Indians (Schaghticoke, NY), saw Mechanicville's basketball squad wallop Hoosic Valley by a tally of 56-20.
With the victory, Mechanicville improves its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Red Raiders host Tamarac (Troy, NY) to confront the Bengals in a Section 2 Wasaren challenge on Monday, January 30. The Bengals come into the challenge with a record of 11-2. Tamarac won 51-10 in their recent non-league challenge against Johnstown (Johnstown, NY)
Next up, the Indians confront the Saratoga Central Catholic Saints (Saratoga Springs, NY) in a Section 2 Wasaren challenge, on Wednesday, February 1. Hoosic Valley will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Saints come into the challenge with a 3-12 record after their 59-34 league loss to Hoosick Falls (Hoosick Falls, NY).
