In Saturday's non-league outing, the Varsity Opponent (, ) basketball squad beat the visiting Central Carolina Prep Defenders (Burlington, NC), by a margin of 62-49.

The (332-1197) will now prepare for their outing against Hillcrest Prep (Phoenix, AZ). The Bruin go into the non-league outing with a 23-3 record. In their last outing, Hillcrest Prep defeated Varsity Opponent (, ), 84-68, in a league outing.
