January 27, 2024: Gower, MO 64454 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lafayette County Huskers (Higginsville, MO) and the host East Buchanan Bulldogs (Gower, MO), saw Lafayette County's basketball squad hold off East Buchanan by a tally of 54-48.
With the victory, Lafayette County improves its record to 17-1 on the campaign. The Huskers host Richmond (Richmond, MO) to play the Spartans in a Missouri River Valley - East challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Richmond won 68-61 in their recent non-league challenge against Braymer (Braymer, MO)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Bishop LeBlond Eagles (St. Joseph, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. East Buchanan will attempt to improve on its 10-5 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 16-5 record after their 50-35 non-league win over Wellington-Napoleon (Wellington, MO).
