New York High School Basketball - Frewsburg holds off Southwestern
January 27, 2024: Frewsburg, NY 14738 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Frewsburg Bears (Frewsburg, NY) and the visiting Southwestern Trojans (Jamestown, NY), saw Frewsburg's basketball squad hold off Southwestern by a tally of 69-68.
With the victory, Frewsburg improves its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Bears host Silver Creek (Silver Creek, NY) to confront the Black Knights in a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - I East challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Black Knights come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Silver Creek won 74-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Dunkirk (Dunkirk, NY)
Next up, the Trojans confront the Dunkirk Marauders (Dunkirk, NY) in a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - I West challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Southwestern will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Marauders come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 74-58 non-league loss to Silver Creek (Silver Creek, NY).
