January 27, 2024: Newport, KY 41071 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds (Newport, KY) basketball squad beat the visiting Hughes BIG RED (Cincinnati, OH), by a margin of 75-57.
The Thoroughbreds (7-14) will now prepare for their outing against Covington Catholic (Park Hills, KY). The Colonels go into the non-league outing with a 16-5 record. In their last outing, Covington Catholic defeated Campbell County (Alexandria, KY), 73-50, in a non-league outing.
