January 27, 2024: Johnston, IA 50131 The Johnston Dragons (Johnston, IA) basketball felled the visiting Iowa City Little Hawks (Iowa City, IA), 55-42 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Dragons (10-8) will now prepare for their test against Liberty (North Liberty, IA). The Lightning go into the non-league test with a 5-7 record. In their last test, Liberty thwarted Xavier (Cedar Rapids, IA), 56-47, in a league test.
The Little Hawks now own a 6-17 record. They play next when they host Dubuque Senior for a Mississippi Valley test on Monday, January 29. Iowa City will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 60-49 league win over Wahlert (Dubuque, IA). The Rams record now stands at 12-1.
