January 27, 2024: Wheaton, IL 60187 The St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL) basketball felled the visiting La Lumiere Blue Lakers (La Porte, IN), 63-50 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Spartans (14-9) will now prepare for their test against Chicago Mt. Carmel (Chicago, IL). The Caravan go into the non-league test with a 23-3 record. In their last test, Chicago Mt. Carmel thwarted St. Rita (Chicago, IL), 51-38, in a league test.
The Lakers now own a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to LaVille for a non-league test on Thursday, February 1. La Lumiere Blue will encounter a Lancers squad coming off a 74-51 league win over Culver Community (Culver, IN). The Lancers record now stands at 7-6.
