Ohio High School Basketball - Liberty Center nudges Pettisville
January 27, 2024: Pettisville, OH 43553 Liberty Center Tigers (Liberty Center, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Pettisville Blackbirds (Pettisville, OH), 51-49 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Liberty Center upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Tigers host Cardinal Stritch (Oregon, OH) to clash with the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 5-9. Cardinal Stritch lost 59-44 in their recent league bout against Maumee Valley Country Day (Toledo, OH)
Next up, the Blackbirds clash with the Montpelier Locomotives (Montpelier, OH) in a Buckeye Border bout, on Friday, February 2. Pettisville will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Locomotives go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 61-47 non-league loss to Paulding (Paulding, OH).
