January 27, 2024: Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064 The Old Orchard Beach Seagulls (Old Orchard Beach, ME) basketball nipped the visiting Poland Knights (Poland, ME), 62-57 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Seagulls (6-6) will now prepare for their test against Monmouth Academy (Monmouth, ME). The Mustangs go into the C South test with a 10-3 record. In their last test, Monmouth Academy got by Spruce Mountain (Jay, ME), 59-56, in a non-league test.
The Knights now own a 3-12 record. They play next when they travel to Mountain Valley for a B South test on Tuesday, January 30. Poland will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 68-46 league loss to Lake Region (Naples, ME). The Falcons record now stands at 6-8.
