Iowa High School Basketball - Saydel tops Woodward Academy
January 27, 2024: Woodward, IA 50276 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Saydel Eagles (Des Moines, IA) and the host Woodward Academy Knights (Woodward, IA), saw Saydel's basketball squad knock off Woodward Academy by a count of 59-43.
With the victory, Saydel upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to South Hamilton (Jewell, IA) to encounter the Hawks in a Heart of Iowa - Large test on Monday, January 29. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 14-1. South Hamilton won 61-47 in their recent league test against West Marshall (State Center, IA)
The Knights now own a 1-10 record. They play next when they travel to Perry for a non-league test on Monday, January 29. Woodward Academy will encounter a Bluejays squad coming off a 99-49 non-league loss to Grand View Christian (Des Moines, IA). The Bluejays record now stands at 4-11.
