January 27, 2024: Corydon, IA 50060 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Southwest Valley (Corning, IA) and the host Wayne Falcons (Corydon, IA), saw Southwest Valley's basketball squad hold off Wayne by a tally of 58-56.
With the victory, Southwest Valley improves its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The travel to Nodaway Valley (Greenfield, IA) to confront the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 29. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 1-14. Nodaway Valley lost 61-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Earlham (Earlham, IA)
Next up, the Falcons confront the Mormon Trail Saints (Garden Grove, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. Wayne will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record.
