Georgia High School Basketball - Whitefield Academy nips Carver
January 27, 2024: Mableton, GA 30126 Whitefield Academy WolfPack (Mableton, GA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Carver Panthers (Atlanta, GA), 1-0 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Whitefield Academy upgrades its record to 1-9 on the campaign. The WolfPack host King's Ridge Christian (Alpharetta, GA) to play the Tigers in a A D1 Region 6 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 5-10. King's Ridge Christian won 35-16 in their recent non-league bout against Monsignor Donovan Catholic (Athens, GA)
Next up, the Panthers play the Cedar Grove Saints (Ellenwood, GA) in a AAA Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Carver will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Saints come into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 57-23 non-league loss to Creekside Christian Academy (McDonough, GA).
