Illinois High School Basketball - Fairfield nudges Casey-Westfield
January 27, 2024: Fairfield, IL 62837 Fairfield Mules (Fairfield, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Casey-Westfield Warriors (Casey, IL), 29-24 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Fairfield upgrades its record to 12-16 on the season. The Mules travel to Eldorado (Eldorado, IL) to clash with the Eagles in a Black Diamond - East game on Monday, January 29. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 7-17. Eldorado lost 68-22 in their recent non-league game against Massac County (Metropolis, IL)
With the defeat, Casey-Westfield moves to 13-14 on the year. The Warriors host Mt. Carmel (Mt. Carmel, IL) to face the Golden Aces in a Little Illini game on Monday, January 29. The Golden Aces enter the game with a record of 20-4. Mt. Carmel won 54-39 in their recent league game against Paris (Paris, IL)
