Chestnut Ridge Lions (New Paris, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers (Philipsburg, PA), 55-15 in a league bout.

With the win, Chestnut Ridge upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Lions travel to Somerset (Somerset, PA) to play the Eagles in a Laurel Highlands bout on Monday, January 29. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-15. Somerset lost 62-30 in their recent league bout against Greater Johnstown (Johnstown, PA)

Next up, the Mountaineers play the Huntingdon Bearcats (Huntingdon, PA) in a Laurel Highlands bout, on Monday, January 29. Philipsburg-Osceola will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 8-7 record after their 47-36 league loss to Hollidaysburg (Hollidaysburg, PA).
