Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Richland County Tigers (Olney, IL) and the visiting Edwards County Lions (Albion, IL), saw Richland County's basketball squad overcome Edwards County by a tally of 53-45.

With the victory, Richland County improves its record to 12-12 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Mattoon (Mattoon, IL) to confront the Greenwave in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 29. The Greenwave come into the challenge with a record of 17-6. Mattoon lost 42-36 in their recent league challenge against Effingham (Effingham, IL)

Next up, the Lions confront the Flora Wolves (Flora, IL) in a Black Diamond - East challenge, on Monday, January 29. Edwards County will attempt to improve on its 16-9 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 6-20 record after their 39-16 league loss to Fairfield (Fairfield, IL).
