January 27, 2024: Penn Laird, VA 22846 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Spotswood Trailblazers (Penn Laird, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA), by a margin of 61-38.
The Trailblazers (14-5) will now prepare for their outing against Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA). The Wildcats go into the Valley outing with a 2-16 record. In their last outing, Rockbridge County was trounced by Salem (Salem, VA), 63-25, in a non-league outing.
The Buffaloes now own a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Patrick County for a Three Rivers outing on Monday, January 29. Floyd County will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 61-49 league win over Radford (Radford, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 11-6.
