January 27, 2024: Gulfport, MS 39503 The Jefferson Davis County Jaguars basketball team (Bassfield, MS), was overwhelmed 73-51 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Harrison Central Red Rebels (Gulfport, MS)
The Red Rebels now possess a 22-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Martin for a 7A Region 4 battle on Monday, January 29. Harrison Central will confront a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 60-41 league win over D'Iberville (D'Iberville, MS). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 20-6.
The Jaguars (21-4) will now prepare for their battle against Magee (Magee, MS). The Trojans come into the 3A Region 6 battle with a 9-16 record. In their last battle, Magee trounced Hazlehurst (Hazlehurst, MS), 55-47, in a league battle.
